PERCEPTION OF THE SURGICAL PATIENT HOSPITALIZED ON TAKING CARE IN NURSING AND THEIR RIGHTS

This research had objective to know the perception of the surgical patients hospitalized in relation to its rights, while internai in the surgical clinic and the assistance of nursing they given. One is about a exploratory study with quanti-qualitative boarding, carried through with 15 internai
patients in the surgical clinics, sections A and B, of Hospital Lauro Wanderley (UFPB), in the city ofJoão Pessoa (PB), in February of 2007. For collection of the data a form of interview assisting to the objective of the study was used. In accordance with the results, the participants had told as its rights: the attendance of its necessities, being this possible because of the bow of friendship between professionals and patients, allowing the respect to its individuality. The conclusion was that the nursing through a quality assistance knows and respects the rights of the patients.
