About the Journal

Revista SOBECC is an open-access academic publication edited by the Brazilian Association of Surgical Center Nurses, Anesthetic Recovery and Material and Sterilization Center (SOBECC). The journal uses the double-blind peer review system to evaluate and publish scientific articles (original and review articles) and experience reports in the field of Surgical Nursing and related topics.

Mission: disseminate qualified scientific production in Nursing, specifically in the areas of Surgical Center, Post-Anesthetic Recovery, Material Center and Sterilization and Infection Control.

Target audience: professionals, researchers, teachers, and students from hospitals, professional associations and higher education institutions with nursing courses throughout Brazil.

Areas of interest: Nursing and Health Sciences.

SOBECC is affiliated with the International Federation of Perioperative Nurses (IFPN) since 1999 and with the World Federation For Hospital Sterilisation Sciences (WFHSS) since 2008. It also maintains a constant partnership with the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN).

Until 2021, one volume was published annually, with 4 editions.

Starting in 2022, the journal has adopted the continuous publication system (one single annual volume that continuously publishes newly approved articles).
