The Sy stematizat io n of the Perio p eratory Nursing Assistance (SPNA) gives an efficient method for the nurse to be kept close to the patient, by applying your knowledge in assisting to the needs of each indi vidu al patient. This study had as goal the elaboration of an instrument of simple and practical data collection that could be used by the w hole nursing team during all the steps of the SPNA. The material and method consisted of the descript study wit h application of the instrument and posterior analysis During the applica tion of the instrument, there were two analyses done including the proposal changes by the whole team- work . We carne to the conclusion that the instru ment used became satisfactory by avoi ding repetitive questions to the patients and saving time on taking notes in the p atient' s chart. H owever, we noticed that the intervention of the nurse is still small due to accumulation of other acti vities. The next step of this work wi ll be the analysis of the patients interviews, so we can evaluate the assistance offered.
