- T his article has the purpose of making some considerations regarding the role of the Üperating Roam Nurse, and its future persp ectives. lt comments on the nurse' s education pro cess, both in college and graduate school, as well as it's role as coordinator of an Üperating Roam Nursing team or as a member of such team . ln regard to that, competence in adm inistra tion, clinicai performance and education are considered to be essential characteristics to design the professional pro file of the nurse. On a future perspective the importance of the professional preparation is singled out in arder to achieve the desired quality on assistance
