Searching for improving the qualityof nurse assistance is the objective of many educational programs. In order to achieve this, alI education and training resources are of great importance, such as tlieproceeding guidelines,that willhelp theprofessionals to execute theiractivities. A procedures manual was made aiming at developing a document easy to consult and to understand containíng all rules, routines, and procedures ofthe Central Supply and Sterilization of the Centro de Atenção Integral à Saúde da Mulher(CAISM) of the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). This manual made beginning th the reorganization of rules and routines already existent. This manual describes all the worX- process of the Sterilization Center: the cleaning, preparing,steriization and distribution of the medical devices. The procedures manual is being evaluated by part of the users.
