Interferência perigosa
Abstract
Em instituições hospitalares/ existem muitos equipamentos eletromédicos que dão suporte à vida dos pacientes ou que monitoram dados vitais/ funcionando como orientadores da terapêu tica instalada. Há monitores cardíacos/ oxímetros de pulso/ eletroencefalógrafos/ eletrocardiógrafos/ bisturis elétricos/ bombas de infusão e manguitos de pressão automáticos e não-invasivos/ entre outros. Nos últimos tempos/ os profissionais de saúde têm relatado dificuldade para regular tais equipamentos em locais de uso intenso de diferentes tipos de aparelhos/ o que provoca problemas funcionais como desligamento/ não-regulagem do tempo de infusão desejado/ modificação do Ruxo inicialmente programado e alteração indevida dos dados registrados. Ciente dos riscos que esse fenômeno pode oferecer aos pacientes/ a Revista SOBE(( foi buscar esclarecimen tos sobre o assunto com o engenheiro eletrônico e biomédico Sérgio Santos Mühlen/ professor doutor da faculdade de Engenharia Elétrica e de Computação - Centro de Engenharia Biomédica/ da Universi dade Estadual de Campinas. A conversa com o especialista resultou na entrevista que se segue.
