Abstract

Study developed in a rehabilitation hospital with the objective of reporting the experience of building a model to describe and document operating room routines, in indirect and direct assistance to the patients, comprehensible and applicable, in the education and training of professionals. it was applied tool 5W1H of total quality control, which assumes standardization as an essential element to achieve high levels of quality services provided and compliance with goals to improve the quality of the nursing care given to the patient. Another theoretical
supposition used was the "information ecology",that brought the idea of integrating several types of knowledge/information, making it possible to gather scientific evidences to enable an accurate record ofthe technical procedures developed in the surgicalcenter. Among the expected results, stand out the transfer of information and technology, education and training in service, record and disclosure of techniques, implementation of standardized procedures, reductionand control of costs, maximization of services and resources for optimization of scientific research.
